Sean Nilforoushan has a background as an operator & product designer.
He is the founder and director of OpenVial, focusing on packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. OpenVial was founded in 2021 with the vision to address the rising need for increasingly complex biopharmaceutical solutions, which require appropriate packaging for their stability and development.
Sean's career in MedTech innovation began in 2018 at Medtronic [NYSE: MDT], working with the Business Director of Coronary (EMEA). He then took a Sales Development Internship at EPFL's MedTech Spin-Off, Pristem.
In 2020, Sean contributed to the operational architecture and financial planning for Andersen Caledonia (UK), supporting the setup of their vaccine vial washing facilities.
At Medistri, Sean has developed the chemistry lab and expanded into the biotech markets. He led the media campaign on Medistri's role in Covid-19 vaccine development and introduced transport simulation services, managing the transport simulation department. Sean introduced MedistriFilm, a risk management system for sterilized product quality assurance. He developed the sales team in several European countries and participated in installing the company's fifth gas sterilization infrastructure. Sean works on Medistri's development and manages the expansion of the sterilization plant in Switzerland to increase sterilization capacity.
Today at Medistri, Sean is focused on the improvement of the company's services and reach addressing the needs of the pharmaceutical industry.
Born in 1998 near Lausanne, Switzerland, Sean Nilforoushan is proficient in languages including French, Spanish, English, Farsi, and German. He has lived in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States.
Sean is interested in architecture and music, playing the guitar, drums, and bass. He was in the band RoseMary and continues as a singer-songwriter. His interests also include persuasion, running, motorsports, poker, and racing cars.
